Inter BEE is an international exhibition that brings the latest innovations relating to the content business from Japan and overseas together under one roof as the greatest professional exhibition for audio, video and communications in Japan as backed up by our history and results.

Inter BEE is held with the aim of transforming into a comprehensive media event that encompasses the technical elements of 'making (producing)', 'delivery (transmitting)' and 'receiving (experiencing)' content with content positioned at the core. We do this as an exhibition that presents new user experiences in the media industry in the digital transformation age.

Inter BEE steadily delivers industry information to targets while considering markets in Japan and overseas in response to the needs of professionals. They will continue to provide opportunities to effectively and meaningfully exchange information and create business for all our exhibitors and visitors.

History – The Broadcast Equipment Exhibition, the original name of Inter BEE, was first held in 1965 by the National Association of Commercial Broadcasters in Japan (NAB-J) as a joint exhibition with the 2nd Technical Report Conference on Commercial Broadcasting at the Invention Hall in Toranomon, Tokyo, with some 12 companies exhibiting products. The second exhibition was held in 1966 under the joint sponsorship of NAB-J and the Electronic Industry Association (currently known as the Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association/JEITA). From the third exhibition in 1967, the venue was moved to the Science Museum located in Kitanomaru Park, Tokyo, which had just opened at the time. The fourth exhibition in 1968 was held under the main sponsorship of the Electronic Industry Association with the NAB-J as a supporting organization.
