This applies to all units of the MusicTAXI VP-/SL-PRO, OPTICODEC 7200, OPTICODEC 7400, OPTICODEC 7600 and CTAXI series. We are no longer able to offer our services for the repair of other units such as the MusicTAXI L3, VP-128, MT-Reporter etc.
What to do?
Once a failure has been determined, call us immediately. Our customer service center is open from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 to 18:00 hrs.
Before sending the unit for repair?
Carefully pack the unit in its original packaging, if possible. If you don´t have the original carton, use a fitting neutral packaging or call us and ask us to send you a new shipping carton which will be shipped to you at your expense. Mark the carton as containing FRAGILE ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT to reduce the potential for damage. However, we take no responsibility for any shipping damage that occurs en route to us.
Make a note of the unit on the packing list along with the number and exact description of any other equipment, such as cables, you are returning. We also require the following information:
- Company name / Department / Contact person
- Address with area code, town, country
- Phone / Fax number
- Type and serial number of the repair unit
- Specification / Description of the disturbance
- Purchase date / Name of your dealer

How long will the repair take?
Our Service Centre will try to eliminate the disturbance within 10 working days. Depending on the work involved, the time needed to repair the unit may vary.
How much will the repair cost?
You will be charged for the repair of units not under warranty. We charge a flat repair rate of EUR 400,00 which does not include possible material costs. Should the repair amount exceed the flat rate, you will receive an estimate for approval. You then decide on how to proceed. Should you decide to decline the repair based on the estimate, you will nevertheless be charged a service and handling fee of EUR 150,00. This fee will also be charged when an error cannot be determined or if the unit cannot be repaired.
We do not charge for repairs within the 24 month warranty period which begins from the invoice date. Please inform us should you require a loan unit during the repair period. We charge EUR 125,00 per week and unit on loan. Transport charges are extra.
We grant a 12 month guarantee on all repairs.
Terms with regard of Shipment
1. In warranty
Any unit shipped to ORBAN Europe GmbH for repair is to be shipped freight prepaid by the customer and F.O.B. destination. After the unit is repaired, ORBAN Europe GmbH will ship the unit freight prepaid.
2. Out of warranty
Any unit shipped to ORBAN Europe GmbH for repair is to be shipped freight prepaid by the customer and F.O.B. destination. After the unit is repaired, ORBAN Europe GmbH will ship the unit ex works shipping point.
