Opticodec-PC AAC / HE AAC / aacPlus streams can be played on various software and hardware client players, including 3GPP/3GPP2 wireless devices. Software client players are available for different computer operating systems or platforms. Not all player clients are created equal; they support different features and connection protocols.
Because of its dramatically better sound and increasing popularity of HE AAC/aacPlus, new players are being added regularly.

- Nullsoft Winamp 5.05 and above
- •Supports metadata for Artist/Title information.
- •One of the most important listener requested and used features for streaming audio.
- •Uses SHOUTcast or Icecast2 servers.
- RealNetworks RealPlayer 10.0 and above
- •Supports HTML directly in the player.
- •Useful for push content such as playlists, information and media purchasing.
- •Uses QuickTime and Darwin Streaming Servers.
- Apple QuickTime 6.0 and above
- •AAC only; aacPlus is not supported at this time.
