Orban PC Products Introduces Two High Density Enterprise Encoding Solutions
NOW SHIPPING!
Tempe, AZ, March 19, 2008 — Circuit Research Labs, Inc. (OTCBB: CRLI.OB), parent company of Orban/CRL, a worldwide leader in audio processing for AM, FM, TV, and Internet broadcasting announces the immediate availability of the Orban Opticodec 1010PE-LS8, LS16 and ES6 high density AAC/aacPlus/3G Enterprise encoding applications.
The LS packages work with the Lynx AES16 digital I/O board while the ES6 works with the Echo AudioFire12 analog I/O device. The LS8 supports 8 primary and 8 backup live source encoders with one Lynx card while the LS16 supports 16 primary and 16 backup live source encoders with 2 Lynx cards, all on one enterprise level computer running Windows XP, Server 2003, or Vista. The ES supports 6 primary and 6 backup analog live source encoders.
Because these encoders use the MP4 HE-AAC and AAC standards, they offer a state-of-the art tradeoff between audio quality and bitrate. Compared to MP3 or Windows Media, HE-AAC can deliver the same quality at half the bandwidth. This can dramatically reduce streaming costs, particularly when an enterprise is serving a large number of streams.
According to John Schaab, Director of Orban PC Product Sales, MP4 based file formats have been adopted more slowly than expected but continue to grow as more and more netcasters understand how implementing these technologies can provide an ongoing boost to the bottom line. Recent developments and server additions along with the growing 3G market has increased the demand for high density encoding solutions. The LS and ES packages answer those needs.
