Tempe, Arizona, September 12, 2007 — Circuit Research Labs, Inc. (OTCBB: CRLI.OB), parent company of Orban/CRL, a worldwide leader in audio processing for AM, FM, TV, and Internet broadcasting announces that Orban/CRL will be exhibiting at The National Association of Broadcasters Radio Show 2007 in Charlotte, NC September 26th-28th. NAB

Featured products from Orban will include the new Optimod-AM 9300 and the new Version 2 of Optimod-FM/HD 8500. Orban's all-digital 9300 Optimod-AM audio processor can help broadcasters achieve the highest audio quality and coverage in monophonic AM shortwave, medium wave and long wave broadcasts. Optimod-AM delivers louder, cleaner, brighter, FM-like audio with an open, fatigue-free quality that attracts listeners and holds them. Because all processing is performed by high-speed mathematical calculations within Motorola DSP56367 digital signal processing chips, the processing has cleanliness, quality and stability over time and temperature that is unmatched by analog processors. Optimod 9300 is descended from the industry-standard 9100 and 9200 Optimod-AM audio processors.

Optimod-FM/HD 8500 V2's improvements exploit previously unused DSP power in the 8500. V2.0's new features include a smoother-sounding AGC, plus independently controllable equalizer, high frequency enhancer, and multiband compression signal paths for the 8500's FM analog and digital radio processing chains. These improvements add to the 8500's existing dual signal paths for analog and digital limiting and output. This dramatically improves the 8500's versatility by allowing users to fine-tune the analog and digital processing chains independently. This provides far more flexibility in adjusting the HD processing path to achieve various goals, such as minimizing audible artifacts in low bitrate codecs or making the digital channel sound bigger or more dramatic when an HD Radio receiver crossfades between analog and digital.
Orban/CRL Chairman, President, and CEO Jay Brentlinger, VP of New Product Development Greg Ogonowski, North American Sales Manager Kevin Clayborn, PC Product Manager John Schaab, and Website Manager Charlie Rich Jr. will all be on hand for demonstrations and Q & A.
