CRL ANNOUNCES REVISED LIST OF PRODUCTS AND SERVICES
Tempe, Ariz., July 27, 2005 – Orban® /CRL (NASDAQ: CRLI.OB), a worldwide leader in audio processing for broadcasting and the Internet, has announced a revised list of available parts and services for CRL (Circuit Research Labs) products as of October 1, 2005. Due to changing technologies and industry demands over the nearly 30 years of CRL’s existence, CRL has structured its product line and product services accordingly.
“In servicing very old equipment that has become obsolete because of technological improvements, we feel we are doing our customers a disservice by keeping outdated equipment working long past its useful life,” commented Orban/CRL Customer Service Manager, Scot McDougal. “Additionally, parts unavailability is making service of some units impossible as well. We’ve analyzed the entire product line and we have decided to eliminate service for some of the oldest CRL equipment as of October 1, 2005. All of the equipment for which support is being terminated has been replaced with newer, more powerful Orban/CRL processing, which is available through broadcast suppliers worldwide. Most parts are still available for these older CRL units and may be ordered from CRL. Parts that CRL no longer has available were most likely discontinued by the manufacturers some time ago.”
The following is a comprehensive list of CRL equipment, along with the support status, as of October 1, 2005:
