ORBAN HOLDS SECOND EUROPEAN DEALER SUMMIT IN POLAND
Tempe, Ariz. — 2004, June 22 — Orban®/CRL (NASDAQ: CRLI.OB), the worldwide leader in audio processing for broadcasting and the Internet, conducted its second European Dealer Summit from June 6 through June 9 at the Wierzba Resort and Conference Center in northern Poland. Orban dealers from across Europe traveled to Poland to learn about the latest developments in audio processing and to receive training on new and existing Orban products. Other topics covered included sales and marketing strategies plus an introduction to the new European Orban/CRL Mobile Broadcast Laboratory. France, Germany, the UK, Ireland, Serbia, Norway, the Czech Republic, the Slovak Republic, Sweden, Denmark, Italy, Poland and Turkey were the countries represented by authorized Orban dealers. In addition to the training sessions, the Orban dealers were treated to several days of sailing, cookouts, and live music, as Orban and Poland’s Authorized Orban Dealer POLSOUND worked to provide an enjoyable event for the group.
Orban Director of European Sales Peter Lee and Polsound Product Manager Pawel Danikiewicz developed the agenda for the conference. Training and Q&A sessions were lead by Lee, Orban/CRL President, Chairman and CEO Jay Brentlinger, and Orban Europe’s Technical Sales and Support Engineer, Peter van Beusekom. This team gave dealers overviews on joint marketing efforts encouraged by Orban/CRL, including promotional campaigns utilizing direct mail, magazine advertising, website development, product brochures, and industry trade shows. The thorough, hands-on demonstrations of the Orban product line in the European Orban/CRL Mobile Broadcast Laboratory allowed dealers to operate a variety of equipment.
“We were all together at one resort location for the duration of the summit, as we took a group bus there,” said Lee. “The training was very focused and was intended to educate the dealers so they can service the Orban customer even better than they do now. Our authorized dealers get the support they need from us to satisfy the end user, and the Orban/CRL European Dealer Summit is just one more example of this. We had a lot of fun, too. It’s a great experience to be with so many fine people from different countries throughout the region, and the people from Polsound couldn’t have been better.”
The Wierzba Resort and Conference Center provided the group with lakeside lodging, fine dining, and boating in a quiet country setting. A traditional Polish band entertained on opening night. Attendees were treated to an evening on a sailing ship with live music, dinner and a wide choice of beverages. After the last training sessions were over, the dealers dined by campfire on the lake.
Orban/CRL will announce the location of next year’s European Dealer Conference when that information becomes available.
